The Birth of Athena

About Me

Hi, I am Danielle, but you can call me Miss Deejers.

I am a twenty-something lady from the Pacific Northwest. I recently graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Physics.

I became slightly obsessed with the imagery of Athena while working on my thesis for college, where I wrote about the Athena Moment and gender in the field of Physics.

I am a feminist. No, that does not mean I hate men. No, that does not mean I have hairy legs. I do my best to debunk myths surrounding the Feminist movement and to promote equality for all individuals. I like to include articles and issues I find interesting and pertinent to my feminist ideals on my blog.

Around the same time that I began working on my thesis, I started lifting. Powerlifting has quickly become one of my greatest passions. I wanted to share my journey and my passion. That is why I started this blog.

You won’t ever see me referring you to read my FAQ page because I love to interact with the people who read my page. If you ask a well-thought out question, I will reply with a well-thought out answer. As my knowledge of my sport and of nutrition changes and evolves, my answers do the same.

Please feel free to contact me through my ask or missdeejers@gmail.com.
